Brent Bateman has built his career helping companies accelerate growth by building high-performing commercial organizations that align strategy, people, and execution. His executive leadership spans both the commercial and defense industries, where he has consistently driven revenue growth, improved commercial performance, and developed winning teams. Throughout his career, Brent has led commercial growth and business development initiatives across the EMEA, APAC, U.S./Canada, and LATAM markets, serving customers in the commercial, outdoor, law enforcement, and defense sectors. As a former Infantry Officer in the Oregon National Guard, he brings a unique combination of leadership experience, strategic thinking, and operational discipline to every client engagement.

The philosophy behind Big Wave was shaped long before the boardroom. As a walk-on athlete at Montana State University, Brent was part of a team that went from a 1–10 season to a 12–2 National Championship. That turnaround reinforced principles that continue to define his leadership approach:

Following college, Brent served as an Infantry officer in the United States Army National Guard. He often describes his military experience as a graduate degree in leadership — a foundation built on accountability, service, and leading under pressure.

EVERYDAY
Outside of business, Brent continues to pursue disciplined performance through endurance sport, including multiple marathons, completion of a full Ironman triathlon, and competition as an age-group national qualifier in sprint and Olympic distance triathlon.
Brent has been married to his high school sweetheart for more than four decades and remains grounded in faith, family, fitness and long-term commitment.
